Exactly two years ago, in 2023, marked the beautiful occasion of the diksha ceremony in Kutch of Sadhvi Shri Pranitiji. This year Kumari Manvi Jain, full of inspiration and excitement, followed the same path with her initiation ceremony (Diksha Angikar) under the affectionate guidance of Pujya Tai Ma and the Veerayatan Sadhvijis.
In an atmosphere filled with immense love and devotion, sacred offerings were written in honour of the Lord and Guru, the Mandap Muhurat (auspicious pavilion consecration) ceremony took place in Pujya Tai Ma’s presence, following all traditional rituals, and the Haldi (turmeric), Mehendi (henna), and Mala Muhurat (garland ceremony) for Diksharthi Manvi were performed with immense love and joy.
In her heartfelt words, Pujya Tai Ma beautifully explained the significance of Mandap Muhurat, saying:
The life of a renunciant transcends all boundaries and becomes infinite—the entire world becomes the family of a spiritual seeker.
On the day of diksha, after receiving blessings from Pujya Tai Ma and the entire Sadhvi Sangh, Diksharthi Manvi Jain ascended a beautifully adorned chariot. Her radiant face exuded divine grace and serenity. A magnificent procession commenced from the 72 Jinayalay, with the chants of “Diksharthi ki Jai!” echoing through the air. Traditional dancers, dressed in cultural attire, danced to the rhythmic beats of drums and bands, while school and college students, teachers, and guests joyously joined in the procession.
It was an extraordinarily blessed moment when, at 89 years of age, Pujya Tai Ma herself joined the procession and personally offered a sacred coconut (Shri Phal) to Manvi. Overcome with emotion, tears welled up in Manvi’s eyes—for her, it felt as though God had graced the ceremony. Such was the divine presence of Pujya Tai Ma that everyone felt as if they were witnessing a live Samavosaran (the divine assembly of a Tirthankar).
As Manvi, overwhelmed with joy, danced her way into the Diksha Mandap, she radiated pure bliss and surrender. Upon reaching the stage, Manvi bowed down and placed her head on Pujya Tai Ma’s lap, while Pujya Tai Ma’s powerful, divine hands rested upon her forehead. In that sacred moment, everyone present felt a deep longing—wishing they too could receive Diksha and experience Pujya Tai Ma’s divine touch. Manvi was truly blessed.
The ceremony officially took place on the stage and the event was graced by local and international guests, many of whom have walked alongside Pujya Tai Ma for over 50 years on her courageous and noble path.
Following the felicitation ceremony, Diksharthi Manvi expressed her heartfelt emotions in an incredibly touching and inspiring speech. As she embarked on the divine path of renunciation, she also announced her decision to donate her hair to cancer patients. This profound act of compassion and sacrifice moved the entire gathering to tears, and the stage resonated with thunderous applause and chants of "Jai Jai!" Under the divine guidance of Pujya Tai Ma, this marked the 16th Diksha that she has conducted, inspiring each Sadhvi to walk on the path of self-realisation and spiritual awakening.
Pujya Tai Ma ceremoniously conferred upon Manvi the revered Bhagwati Diksha. With a new attire and a new path, she was also given a new name—Sadhvi Praveditaji. Pujya Tai Ma, who names each disciple through self-intuition, selected ‘Pravedita’ with deep significance, aligning it with her personality and spiritual essence.
All devotees and attendees had the sacred opportunity to participate in the first alms offering to Sadhvi Shri Praveditaji and the Diksha ceremony concluded successfully, filled with love, reverence, and pure spiritual emotions.
