Celebrations at Veerayatan Rajgir Campus

The celebration of Pujya Tai Ma’s birthday took place in the splendid setting of the Veerayatan Campus at Rajgir. This was the first Veerayatan centre founded by Pujya Tai Ma when she started Veerayatan with the blessings of Gurudev Upadhyaya Shri Amar Muniji Maharaj over 50 years ago. What was originally empty land, full of thorny shrubs and hard landscape, nestled and surrounded by the auspicious Vaibhagiri Hills, has been transformed over time into a beautiful oasis of seva (humanitarian work), shiksha (education) and sadhana (spiritual practice) with a serene and peaceful environment. A campus which respects nature, history and the practice of compassion.>

Highly qualified eye surgeons and their dedicated team at Netra Jyoti Seva Mandiram (Eye Hospital) have now been treating thousands of patients every year. Reaching a milestone record of 1 million eye surgeries thus far is an eye opener. The Kala Mandir, Pujya Tai Ma’s heart, delicately depicting the main events in the life Tirthankara Mahavir is an amazing focal point of Veerayatan Rajgir. There are the monuments to Gurudev Upadhayay Shri Amar Muniji Maharaj, Sadhvi Shri Rambha Kuwarji Maharaj and Sadhvi Sumati Kuwarji Maharaj whose blessings have shaped Veerayatan, the very extensive library containing 20,000 plus Jain scriptures and literature and accommodation to meet the needs of all including a 4-star on-site hotel.

This wondrous setting shimmered and glowed even more powerfully, as if, it too wanted to celebrate Pujya Tai Ma’s achievements. The beautifully decorated paths, the striking rangolis, the melodious sounds whether from the bhakti flowing out from the Parsva Jinalay or the vibrant drums of the Nagpur group, the presence and laughter everywhere of the children from the various Veerayatan run schools whether exhibiting their science projects or simply enjoying each other’s company created what seemed like a heavenly abode where, it would not be surprising, if the heavenly beings themselves were to make an appearance!
